Made from genuine leather, the tray can be personalised with a name, initial, monogram or suitable logo. We laser engrave the design into the leather, creating a dark finish that won’t peel off like a sticker.

Initials look particularly good on this tray.

They can sit neatly in the centre without dominating the entire design. A full name, short message or date will also work if you want something a little more personal.

You’ll have a choice of fonts when ordering. If you’re adding more than one line, we’ll arrange the design so it reads the right way when the tray is sitting in front of you.

Company logos are welcome too. Send the artwork through before ordering if it contains small lettering or fine detail. Leather behaves differently from paper, so a logo created for print may need to be simplified before we engrave it.

The grain and texture may show through the engraving. That’s one of the things we like about working with natural leather.

A Custom Trinket Dish, Catch-All Tray or Valet Tray?

There are several names for much the same product.

Some people call it a custom trinket dish. Others use leather tray, trinket tray or catch-all tray. Valet tray is probably the most accurate, although it does sound as though it should park your car.

Whatever name you use, it keeps small items together.

Leave it on your nightstand for a watch and jewellery. Put it on a dresser for your wallet and loose change. On a desk, it can hold keys, earbuds, coins and the pen that usually rolls underneath the keyboard.

It works in the home or office and doesn’t require much room.

Genuine Leather with a Natural Finish

This custom leather valet tray is made from genuine leather with stitched edges and metal snap buttons at the corners.

The leather has its own colour, grain and markings. One tray may be slightly lighter or darker than another. Small differences in texture are expected as well.

Those variations give each tray a more authentic feel. They aren’t covered over with a perfectly uniform printed surface.

Natural leather also changes with use. It may become darker where it’s handled and develop small marks over time. That’s simply leather as it ages.

If you want every tray to look completely identical, natural leather will probably frustrate you. If you like a product that acquires a bit of character, it makes much more sense.

Snap the Buttons and It Becomes a Tray

The design is fairly clever, despite being simple.

Fasten the four snap buttons and the sides lift into place. Coins, keys and jewellery stay inside rather than wandering across the desk.

Undo the buttons and the tray can fold almost flat.

That makes it easy to pack when travelling. Set it up beside the hotel bed, put your wallet and room key inside, then flatten it again when it’s time to leave.

You’ll still have to check the bathroom for your toothbrush.

A Practical Personalised Gift

A leather valet tray makes a useful birthday, Christmas or Father’s Day gift.

It also suits graduations, retirement, a new job or a 3rd anniversary, when leather is the traditional theme.

Add initials for something understated. A name or date makes the gift more personal, while a logo can turn it into a smart staff or client gift.

We’re not going to claim it’s the perfect gift for absolutely everyone. Someone who never loses their keys may not need one.

A company logo or complicated piece of artwork may require a small setup charge. We’ll confirm that before going ahead.

Care Instructions

Wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth when it needs cleaning.

For a small mark, use a lightly damp cloth and wipe the surface gently. Don’t soak it and don’t reach for household chemical cleaners.

If the product gets wet, allow it to dry naturally away from direct heat. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat or strong sunlight can dry the leather and affect its colour.

Leather conditioner can be used occasionally, although it may darken the surface. Test it on a less obvious area first.

When the tray isn’t being used, undo the buttons and store it flat somewhere dry.

Check the spelling, font and orientation of your design before completing the order.

We engrave the details supplied to us, including any creative spelling. Once the laser has marked the leather, we can’t wipe it clean and try again.

Each tray is personalised before shipping. If you need yours for a birthday, Father’s Day or another fixed date, contact us before ordering. We’ll let you know whether there’s enough time to engrave and send it.
